Jennifer Cochran serves as the Manager of Grants and Scholarships, a role she has held since 2020. Jennifer previously held the position of Manager of Marketing, Communications, and Events at the Community Foundation. In her current capacity, Jennifer spearheads the discretionary grant program and oversees the scholarship initiative, utilizing strategic leadership and community engagement to support both efforts.Prior to her tenure at the Community Foundation, Jennifer amassed diverse experience in leadership roles within marketing and communications at various IT companies. Her global perspective was further enriched by living and working in both Germany and the UK. Notably, Jennifer also served as the Director of Marketing at American University’s Kogod School of Business.
Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Clarion University of Pennsylvania (now PennWest), augmenting her academic journey with an internship at the University Public Relations office.
Residing in Northern Virginia with her family, Jennifer is deeply committed to local community service projects and programs. Beyond her professional endeavors, she finds fulfillment in outdoor activities with her family.
