Michelle Sullivan, Executive Director of All Ages Read Together (AART), truly embodies the organization’s mission. Inspired by her early childhood experiences, Michelle is passionate in providing accessible preschool education across Northern Virginia. Passion is essential to every mission; however, Michelle appreciates that operating a successful organization requires thoughtful long-term planning. That’s why she, alongside the AART Board, established the All Ages Read Together Fund at the Community Foundation.

By establishing a Fund with the Community Foundation, Michelle demonstrates to donors that AART strategically thinks about long-term financial stability. The Community Foundation is a Local Resource
All Ages Read Together provides twenty-three free preschool classes across Northern Virginia, educating children who do not qualify for subsidized programs. Utilizing local data from the Community Foundation’s Insight Region® “Ready for Kindergarten, Ready for Life” report, AART amplifies regional need to supporters, donors, and policy makers. The conclusions from the Insight Region® report encouraged AART to make more targeted decisions in service delivery, expanding their program in areas with known educational gaps.
