The Community Investment Funds is the signature grant cycle managed by the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia in which funds are invested in organizations serving the Northern Virginia community in the areas of child and youth development, disabilities, education, Latino engagement and achievement, mental health, aging, military personnel and their families, and safety net support.
For 16 years the Community Foundation has awarded grants from the Community Investment Funds, which have grown from a total of $3,000 in 2006 to $518,000 in 2022. Support for these grants comes from both the Permanent Fund for Northern Virginia and current year gifts from donors like you.
