Edward Viktor Alphons Kussy

March 22, 1947 - July 21, 2023

Edward Kussy was among the nation’s leading experts on federal surface transportation policy.  He devoted his life to the study of highways, and the intricacies involved in building, connecting, and maintaining them over his long career as deputy chief counsel and top career lawyer at the Federal Highway Administration in Washington, D.C. and later as a partner at Nossaman, LLP. 

In addition to his lifelong support for environmental issues, he supported a wide range of charities through his fund at the Community Foundation to support our region's foster children, leadership development programs for youth, healthcare initiatives and more.
