Creighton Gives

On June 1 and 2, Creighton Farms launched its annual Creighton Gives program with musical performances, games, and treats from local BBQ and ice cream vendors. This sunny, two-day event was the perfect backdrop for Creighton Farms friends and families to learn about the member-driven philanthropic initiative, which aims to strengthen the Northern Virginia community.

A Celebration of Music and Community

The 2024 concert series began with an enchanting performance by singer Nelson Cade III (featured on season 18 of The Voice), who was followed by Javier Colon (the season 1 winner). The latter’s rich voice and heartfelt songs resonated deeply with the audience. Indeed, the music set the perfect tone for the announcement of this year’s grant recipients: The JK Community Farm, Friends of Homeless Animals Virginia, and All In for Miller

These recipients were submitted by Creighton Farms members and vetted in partnership with the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia. We thank everyone who submitted their suggestions and will keep all suggestions in mind for next year’s giving circle.

Creighton Gives: Making a Difference Together

Creighton Gives (in partnership with the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia) focuses on enhancing community connections and supporting the causes its members value. The group welcomes every donation (regardless of its amount) and will have opportunities to give throughout the summer! If you have questions about how to donate, ask any Creighton staff member or contact Gabrielle Webster (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) at the Community Foundation.

In the program’s inaugural year, we granted over $24,000 to four Loudoun nonprofits: A Place To Be, Goose Creek Association, Serve Our Willing Warriors, and The Arc of Loudoun. This year, like last, Creighton Farms (via Southworth) will match 100% of member contributions up to $100,000!
