Spring Edition Celebrates Corporate Philanthropy
The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia released its seventh issue of GOOD BUSINESS magazine, a bi-annual publication that features stories of local businesses that play a key role in the community through philanthropy and volunteerism. The Spring 2018 issue of GOOD BUSINESS features stories that focus on corporate philanthropy and inspiration for future generations.In Northern Virginia many companies incorporate broader social, civic, and environmental goals into their missions. In this issue Micron Technology, Dewberry, Renner and Company, and The SkillSource Group are all featured. Their respective commitment to service and strategic philanthropic investments is an inspiration.
“We celebrate these local corporate superstars,” said Cheryl Janey, GOOD BUSINESS Managing Editor and Community Foundation Board Member. “While their collective impact helps grow the local economy, their orientation to community is contributing in no small way to our growing sense of place, our quality of life, and to the ties that bind us to this ever evolving region we call home.”

The Community Foundation’s Innovation Fund is a discretionary fund that invests in inventiveness, creativity and new design across Northern Virginia. This is the first grant from the Innovation Fund endowment that was established in 2017.
