$25,000 Awarded to Northern Virginia Non-Profit Serving the Latino Community

LEAF 5Paty Funegra and Diana Katz at April '17 LEAF LaunchThe Latino Engagement and Achievement Fund (LEAF) announced today that it awarded a $25,000 grant to Edu-Futuro, a nonprofit with offices in Arlington and Springfield. The grant will support Edu-Futuro’s Emerging Leaders Program which targets the next generation of leaders and professionals in the Latino community. Edu-Futuro empowers under-resourced Latino and immigrant youth and their parents through education, leadership development, and family engagement.

Five Organizations Awarded Grants for STEM Education, Leadership and Entrepreneurship Programs

wesley housing2017 Grantee: Wesley Housing STEM Program ParticipantsThe Community Foundation for Northern Virginia’s Business Women's Giving Circle (BWGC) announced the winners of its fourth annual grant cycle today.  A total of $53,000 has been awarded to five nonprofit organizations and schools that provide STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Leadership and Entrepreneurship programs to girls and young women in Northern Virginia. To-date the BWGC has awarded $178,000 in grants.
