Loudoun Literacy Council
Beatriz McNelly is a successful entrepreneur having co-founded FiberGate, Inc., a dark fiber networking company, which she sold in 2012. She is the President and CEO of Be Logic LLC, a B2B backoffice service provider for entrepreneurs and small companies. Most recently, Beatriz joined the Loudoun Literacy Council as its Executive Director, a nonprofit that teaches English communication skills and provides literacy resources to empower adults and children to become self-sufficient and confident in their ability to achieve their personal and professional goals in Loudoun County.
Beatriz came to this country at the age of 11 with her mother and father from their homeland, Argentina, where her father was a mechanical engineer and her mother was a seamstress. After relocating to the US, her parents launched a successful company called Lu-el Draperies, which taught Beatriz much of what she learned about new business creation and entrepreneurship.
She has a long history of giving back to our community. Bea currently serves on the Board of Directors for the ARC of Loudoun, where she is their current Treasurer, and on the Board of Directors for the Loudoun Literacy Council. She is an active volunteer with SAY – Stuttering Association for the Young, with the Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter (LAWS), and with Halcyon House, a social enterprise accelerator for young entrepreneurs.
Beatriz has been engaged with the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia since April of 2017. She is a current Donor Advised Fund holder, Permanent Fund donor, Latino Engagement and Achievement Fund endowment donor, and a long-standing member of the Business Women's Giving Circle.
