Moses UlomMoses Ulom is the Manager of Gifts and Grants at the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia. In this role, Moses oversees the comprehensive management of crucial data concerning donors, grants, scholarships, and donor-advised funds. In his capacity, Moses prepares and generates weekly and monthly reports to reconcile gift and outgoing grants, facilitating both internal and external reporting processes. His responsibilities extend to crafting and maintaining stakeholder profiles, processing entries for gifts, promptly acknowledging and distributing tax documents relating to the gifts received. Collaborating with other departments, Moses ensures the efficient and accurate disbursement of grants from donor-advised and scholarship funds, distributing grant payments and associated materials to intended grantees and scholarship awardees. He plays an active role in the foundation's fundraising initiatives.

Before joining the Community Foundation, Moses served as the Coordinator of Member Services at Foodlink, Inc. in New York. In this role, he coordinated programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program (HPNAP), and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), among others, as related to the need of member agencies.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Moses enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, and traveling. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from The State University of New York (SUNY Brockport) and a master's degree in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Development from the University of Northern Iowa. Moreover, he holds certification as a nonprofit professional (CNP).
